| Abstract: | The specific secretion rate of recombinant erythropoietin (EPO) from Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells was increased by reducing agents. Addition of 5 mM cysteamine to serum free medium led to almost 8-fold increase of specific EPO secretion rate although it was not effective in thiol free medium. Each reducing agent has its own optimal concentration for maximizing the EPO secretion from CHO cells. |
