Abstract: | A new semi-mycotrophic species, Burmannia larseniana , is described from northern Thailand. The species is related to B. pusilla , a species widely distributed in Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma, India and Sri Lanka, but can be easily distinguished from the latter by its succulent stem, single-veined leaf, and the outer perianth lobes with double margins that encircle the inner perianth lobes. The ecological preferences of the species are also discussed. |
