| Abstract: | Changes in the temporal abundance of females and males of Synchaeta spp. were followed for one year (1983) at two stations in the brackish northern Baltic proper. Males were found only when the abundance of females was increasing and the phytoplankton biomass was dominated by large diatoms. |
