| Abstract: | Based on sequencing data and results obtained from applying a tailored mismatch polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) analysis, we report that the G allele of the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) polymorphism at nucleotide position 11719 is associated with the European mtDNA haplogroup cluster HV, and that 11719A is therefore the ancestral allele. |
