Abstract: | Summary When plants of Vitis vinifera L. were grown in solution cultures containing (2-chloroethyl)trimethylammonium chloride (CCC), roots became shorter and thicker than those of untreated control plants. The effect of CCC on vine roots could be counteracted by gibberellic acid simultaneously applied either to the solution cultures or to aerial organs of the plant. |
