| Abstract: | Young, expanding Xanthium leaves had many soluble proteins;older leaves had progressively fewer. The leaves that grew themost rapidly incorporated the most 14CO2 into their proteins.The relative intensity of 14CO2 incorporation into the differentsoluble proteins changed with leaf development.
