Abstract: | The complete mitochondrial DNA sequence of Pelteobagrus nitidus was determined using a PCR-based method. The total length of mitochondrial DNA is 16,532 bp. The contents of the P. nitidus mitochondrial genome are 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA and 22 transfer RNA genes, and a non-coding control region. Base composition of the entire genome is A 31.72%, T 26.92%, C 26.45%, and G 14.91%, with an A+T (58.64%) rich feature as that of other vertebrate mitochondrial genome. |
