| Abstract: | 1. Glucosyltransferase was purified from Streptococcus mutans OMZ 176 by ammonium sulfate fractionation and gel filtration. 2. The overall purification was about 15,000-fold with a yield of 53%. 3. The purified enzyme appeared to be a multienzyme complex consisting of three different components with molecular weights of 158,000, 153,000 and 149,000, respectively. |
