| Abstract: | The effect of an intense low-frequency field on the insect heart function has been estimated with the use of electrocardiograms. An electric field has been found to upset heart function. The resultant stress is mainly determined by induced currents whose excitatory effect is enhanced by the vibration of trichoid sensillas and antennae in the electric field. |
