Summary

In close agreement with Schanderl's findings it is shown that bacterial cultures may be obtained from the most different parts of non-Leguminous plants representing several families of higher plants. These bacteria, isolated from parts of higher plants, do not seem to be identical with the ones inducing nodules in Leguminous plants.
