Germ-Tube Formation is Independent of DNA Synthesis during Spore Germination in the Fission Yeast, Schizosaccharomyces pombe

Germ-tube emergence took place at almost the same time as DNAsynthesis during spore germination in the fission yeast, Schizosaccharomycespombe. Neither the emergence nor the elongation of the germ-tubeswas inhibited by hydroxyurea.
