Abstract: | A number of vibrio strains isolated from marine water produced high units of phytohemagglutinin-like agglutinins. Sugar specificity of the hemagglutinins was different from that of the sugar-binding bacterial toxins and that of the sugar-binding pili on the bacterial cell surfaces. |
