| Abstract: | In idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) patients with histological signs of stronger auto-antibody synthesis (spleen follicle hyperplasia) more frequently revealed megakaryocyte changes due to antibodies and less frequently thrombocyte production compensatory increased than ITP patients with signs of weaker auto-antibody synthesis (spleen follicle normoplasia). The observation suggest that insufficient and frequently lacking compensatory increase of thrombocyte production in ITP is caused by an autoallergic disturbance of megakaryocyte maturation. |
