| Abstract: | Reaction of 2,6-dibenzylphenol and 2,6-bis-(2-methoxybenzyl)phenol with potassium hexamethyldisilazide in the presence of 18-crown-6 yielded [K(18-crown-6)(Odbp)] and [K(18-crown-6)(OdbpOMe)], respectively. Both compounds were mononuclear with seven-coordinate potassium and displayed C-H?O and C-H?π intermolecular hydrogen bonding. |
