| Abstract: | The effect of PGF2 alpha and its analogues on androgen production and activity of delta 5,3 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase in rat Leydig cells in vitro was investigated. Prostaglandin of the F type inhibit the enzyme activity and hormone secretion by cultured Leydig cells. This effect was considerably stronger in Leydig cells isolated from mature rats, than by Leydig cells from immature animals. |
