Abstract: | Three new prenylated xanthones, 1 – 3 , along with ten known compounds, were isolated from the stem bark of Garcinia lancilimba. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR spectra, as well as HR‐MS experiments. Some of these compounds showed apoptotic effects or growth‐inhibition effects against HeLa cells expressing a caspase sensor protein. |
