| Abstract: | A new subgenus of the genus Hylaeus Fabricius, 1793 is described and illustrated. The subgenus Laxoprosopis subgen. nov. is erected for one new Chinese species, H. (Laxoprosopis ) sichuanensis sp. nov. In addition, H. nipponicus Bridwell, 1919 and H. monticola Bridwell, 1919 are recorded from China for the first time. |
