| Abstract: | In ordertoexplore the relationship betweenHepatitisBvirusinfection(HBV)and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a case-control study was conducted based on the diagnosed HCC patients in Wuhan city from January 1, 2000 to July 31, 2003. The data obtained from 313 cases and 313 controls were first analysed by means of single variable analysis and then by the multivariate Logistic regression analysis. The result showed that history of HBV infection was closely associated with HCC (OR=7.606, 95%CI 3.679-15.722). History of hepatitis is the major risk factors of HCC. |
