| Abstract: | Effects of the solubilizing detergent type, pH and temperature on the structure of cytochrome c oxidase have been studied by the intrinsic fluorescence and scanning microcalorimetry methods. The data obtained allow to conclude that the enzyme solubilization by lauryl maltoside gives a more native preparation in comparison with that obtained by solubilization in Tween 80. |
