Abstract: | When etiolated 4-day-old seedlings of mung bean were illuminated,catalase, glycolate oxidase and hydroxypyruvate reductase activitiesin the primary leaves increased non-synchronously. Under intenselight, glycolate oxidase activity increased while catalase activitydid not. Phytochrome seems to be involved in increases in allthree enzyme activities. (Received August 10, 1977; ) |
