Abstract: | Krisitansen, J. & Lind, J. F. 1995. On the taxonomic relation between Synura curtispina and S. favus (Synurophyceae). - Nord. J. Bot. 15: 443–448. Copenhagen. ISSN 0107–055X. Petersen & Hansen described several forms of Synura spinosa , among them f. curtispina . Asmund clarified further differences and raised f. curtispina to species rank. Besides S. curtispina , she described an additional form: f. reticulata . Bradley described S. favus from Scotland. This species shows obvious similarity with S. curtispina f. curtispina and S. curtispina f. reticulata . In the present study, scale morphology and ultrastructure are compared in order to clarify the taxonomic relation between these three taxa. Because of their obvious similarities, it is concluded that they should be united under the name of S. curtispina . |
