| Abstract: | Plasmodia were fractionated to isolate a cell membrane rich fraction by sucrose density-gradient centrifugation. The fractions
were identified by electron microscopic observation, PTA-chromic acid staining and assays of marker enzymes, applying the
methods for cell membranes of higher plants. The cell membranes were recovered on the density of 1.13 g·cm−3. |
