Abstract:A new species of chimaeroid, Harriotta lehmani, is described. It differs from Recent species of Harriotta in the shape of the paired rostral cartilages and second dorsal fin. This is the first record of a chimaeroid from the Cretaceous fish-beds of Lebanon, as well as being the first fossil representative of the genus Harriotta.
