Seasonal Changes in the Newt,Trituroides hongkongensis,Testis. II. An Ultrastructural Study on the Lobule Boundary Cell

An electron microscopical study was made on the lobule boundary cells. They were found to show characteristic ultrastructures of a typical steroid-producing cell. Changes in these cells were divided into five stages according to the development within the lobules. The possible significance of the changes and their correlation with the degree of steroid production at different stages are discussed.
