| Abstract: | Immunoreactive somatostatin is secreted by rat gastric mucosa perifused . Somatostatin release is stimulated by pentagastrin and cyclic AMP with theophylline. These results suggest that gastric mucosal somatostatin may have a paracrine action as feedback inhibitor of gastrin secretion. |
