| Abstract: | In this paper we report tie result of detection in infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus ( IBRV ) using photobiotin labelled nucleic acid probe. The result showed that 10pg of IBRY DNA, 1 TCID50 of virus aad 1-10 TCID50 of experimentally contaminated bovine semen can be detected by using photobiotin labelled IBRV 9.6kb DNA fragment as probe. A comparison of detection of IBRV between nucleic acid probe and virus isolation indicates 84.4% agreement. |
