Abstract: | In the cells of the middle layer of the proventriculus of Drosophila auraria larvae, the nuclear envelope and the rough endoplasmic reticulum are always found in the form of dilated cisternae. The length of these cisternae can reach 10 mu. There are indications that materials from the outer membrane of the nuclear envelope are directly transported to the Golgi complex of the examined cells. |
