Abstract: | After 1 week, the mortality of European eel Anguilla anguilla after marking glass eels with oxytetracycline (OTC) and alizarin red (ALC), and farm eels with coded wire tags (CWTs) was 0% within all treatments. The suitability of implanting CWTs in the nose region (tag loss 94% after 1 week) and in the dorsal musculature (tag loss 4% after 1 week) was also examined. |
