| Abstract: | Summary The Ni2+ resistance of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans was enhanced by repeated culturing in medium containing Ni2+ and gradually increasing the Ni2+ concentration. The extraction of nickel sulfide was enhanced by the adapted strain following the direct leaching mechanism of the microorganism. |
