Abstract: | When food becomes scarce, animals undergo distinct metabolic, behavioral, and physiological changes that allow them to survive. In this issue, Greer et al. (2008) take advantage of the relatively simple and well-characterized nervous system of C. elegans to elucidate a neural circuit regulating feeding behavior and fat storage. |
