成人T细胞白血病病毒抗体的血清流行病学调查

应用间接免疫荧光试验和明胶凝集试验,对10,013份血清标本进行了人T细胞白血病病毒(HTLV-1)抗体的检测,发现8例阳性。其中3例为日本人,2例是中国台湾人,2例分别是上述日本人和台湾人的妻子,均为中国人,从未离开过大陆;另一例是成人T细胞白血病病人,原为浙江渔民,后当海员,常在日本港口居住。700例各类白血病病人和10例疑似成人T细胞白血病病人的血清,HTLV-1抗体均为阴性。此结果证实,中国大陆正常成年人HTLV-1抗体阴性。少数阳性者均与密切接触日本人有关。HTLV-1病毒是由日本人传入的。

SEROEPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDIES ON HUMAN T-CELL LEUKEMIA VIRUS ANTIBODY IN CHINA

Immunofluorescence test (IF) and gelatin particle agglutination test ( G PAT ) were used for assay of the antibody to human T-cell leukemia virus ( HTLV-l).We tested 9,303 sera from normal individuals aged 20 and above in the city of Beijing and twenty-eight provinces and 700 sera from patients with different types of leukemia and 10 suspected patients with adult T-cell leukemia ( ATL ) .Of the 10,013 sera, only 8 had antibody to HTLV-1, 3 from Japanese living in China, 2 adults from Twiwan and 2 Chinese ladies from mainland China. Their husband, one Japanese and one Chinese from Japan, were also positive.Among 700 sera from patients with different types of leukemia and 10 sera from suspected ad.ult T cell leukemia were negative. Only one patient with disease was positive. He was born in Dinghai county of Zhejiang province. When he was 16 years old,he worked as a seaman. He often lived in the cities in the south of Japan.These findings strongly suggest that the individuals having HTLV antibody were the result of presumably close contact with Japanese. The virus was transited from Japanese to Chinese.The results of GPAT were well correlated to that of IF. The GPAT is more sensitive than IF and can be used for large scale screening.
