| Abstract: | Summary We have tested the acyl-transferase of penicillin producing strains and penicillin-less mutants of Penicillium chrysogenum for their ability to exchange the d- -aminoadipic acid side chain of cephalosporin-C with phenoxyacetic acid. We found the reaction in both types of strains. |
