Abstract: | Ipomoea carnea Jacq. is a noxious aquatic weed with rapid vegetative growth and high invading powers. Infestation and population distribution of Aspidomorpha miliaris F. in Assam, India, showed that the beetle occurred on I. carnea at high densities (2.8–163.3 individuals/plant) causing damage up to 84%. Laboratory studies also support it as potential biocontrol agent for I. carnea. |
