Summary This is the first report of a heavy burden of the Thorny-headed wormPlagiorhynchus paulus van Cleave & Williams, 1951, in a young Black Redstart. The parasitosis was the most probable cause of death in the host.
Most parasites (n=102) were located in the intestine and only two in the gizzard.
