| Abstract: | Melatonin is the primary hormone secreted by the pineal gland.Melatonin exerts its biological effects through pharmacologically specific,guanine nucleotide binding protein-coupled receptors.This paper reviews melatonin receptor distribution,pharmacological characteristics,receptor cloning and recepor genes structure. |
