Rapid isolation of DNA from Staphylococcus aureus. |

| Abstract: | We describe a Staphylococcus aureus bulk DNA isolation procedure which uses detergent and guanidine hydrochloride to free the nucleic acid from contaminants. The procedure is rapid and yields high-molecular-weight DNA suitable for molecular biological procedures. |
