| Abstract: | A new species ofPicramnia (Picramniaceae) is described, illustrated, and compared to related Amazonian species. The new species,Picramnia coccinea, is known only from three localities in three adjacent municipalities near Ilhéus, Bahia, and constitutes another example of endemism in the southern Bahian flora. |
