| Abstract: | We have reviewed the existing data on the efficacy of anidulafungin, which is the most recent echinocandin in the experimental treatment of fungal infections. The scarce published data practically only refers to disseminated and pulmonary aspergillosis and to disseminated candidiasis. Anidulafungin shows fungistatic activity against Aspergillus fumigatus, and fungicidal activity against Candida albicans and Candida glabrata. |
