Abstract: | From a study of the translation of synthetic polynucleotides in the and cell-free systems, it is shown that the stimulation of polypeptide synthesis by spermidine depends on the uracil content of messenger ribonucleic acid. This stimulation can not be fulfilled by any amount of Mg2+ in the absence of polyamines. |
