Abstract: | Summary Whole, critical-point dried cells of protonemata of the mossBryum tenuisetum have been examined in the high-voltage electron microscope at 1 MV. Fine cytoskeletal elements form a three-dimensional meshwork in the cytoplasm. This resembles, but has some differences from, the microtrabecular lattice seen in spread animal cells examined by the same technique. |
