| Abstract: | - 1.1. The succinic dehydrogenase of the E, GL, S, and W strains of Tetrahymena pyriformis is stable to freezing, acetone precipitation and lyophilization.
- 2.2. The four strains all show high cytochrome oxidase activity. The oxidase is completely inactivated by acetone precipitation and by lyophilization. Suspensions prepared from frozen cells exhibit only slight oxidase activity.
