| Abstract: | A rapid, simple and highly reproducible method is developed for qualitative determination of alcohol oxidase and catalase in yeast colonies using digitonin as a permeabilizing agent. The method permits finding differences in regulation of catalase by ethanol in methylotrophic and nonmethylotrophic yeasts. |
