Abstract: | inhibition of ethylmorphine metabolism in rat hepatic microsomes by parathion, malathion, malaoxon and paraoxon was not well correlated with their effects on NADPH oxidation, cytochrome C reduction or the reduction of cytochrome P-450. A parallel relationship was observed between inhibition of ethylmorphine metabolism by parathion, malathion and malaoxon and the binding affinity of these agents to microsomal cytochrome P-450 obtained from rats pretreated with an anticholinesterase agent, Bis-?-nitrophenol] phosphate. |
