| Abstract: | Synrhabdosomes are monospecific colonies of colonies of graptolites. Their mode of formation is unknown. We draw attention to a type of colony formation found in two genera of colonial rotifers and suggest that these represent plausible models for the life cycle of graptolite synrhabdosomes. |
