Selective Medium for Mosquito-Pathogenic Strains of Bacillus sphaericus |

| Abstract: | A selective medium (BATS), which contains arginine as the sole carbon and nitrogen source and which also contains streptomycin, allowed growth of 18 mosquito-pathogenic strains of Bacillus sphaericus. It inhibited the growth of 68% of the nonpathogenic B. sphaericus strains tested as well as other Bacillus spp. and aquatic bacteria. |
