| 摘 要： | 本文主要报道采自西藏(Xizang)北部,伦波拉盆地南缘,色林错东南岸的一块大型猫科(Felidae)动物的脑化石。因为没有发现任何与其共生的哺乳动物化石,其时代只能依据猫科动物中虎豹属(Panthera)的生活时代,定为上新世至更新世(Pliocene-Pleistocene)。本文可能是中国哺乳动物脑化石的首次研究报道。

| Abstract: | A quite large fossil brain of felid(IVPP.cat.no.v 7384)collected from Pliocene-Pleistocene of Lun Bo La basin,North Xizang(Tibet),is described in this paper.Itmay be the first report about the fossil brain from China. The frontal lobe and the cerebellum are not preserved.The left olfactory bulband the anterior part of right olfactory bulb are damaged.There are only two majorsulci on the occipital lobe:the lateral and suprasylvain sulci,without entolateralsulcus and ectolateral sulcus.The lateral sulcus is parallel to the sagittal plane of thebrain.The suprasylvain sulcus is parallel to the lateral sulcus.The sylvain sulcus isrelatively deeper and longer.The anterior and posterior limbs of the ectosylviansulcus are disconnected and form the anterior ectosylvian sulcus and posterior ecto-sylvian sulcus. |
