| Abstract: | A technique is presented for C-banding plant chromosomes with a modified Wright stain. This procedure consistently produces brightly stained, well defined telomeric and interstitial heterochromatic bands, identifiable centromeric constrictions, and lightly stained euchromatic areas on chromosomes of rye. |
