| Abstract: | Both pairs of -ll-desoxy- and -13---15, 16-dihydroxyprostaglandins have been synthesized via 1,4-conjugate additions of an appropriately functionalized -vinyl cuprate to the requisite cyclopentenone. These prostaglandin analogs are considerably less potent than PGE2 as gastric secretion inhibitors or as bronchodilators. |
