Abstract: | Chickens were allowed to forage for one growing season (June–September) on plots containing substantial numbers of grasshoppers. When compared with untreated areas, plots where foraging occurred for just one season had significantly (P < 0.05) fewer grasshoppers for five years, though there was no difference in density in the sixth year. |
