| Abstract: | This paper deals with the studies and development of natural anticancer drug taxol including the following nine aspects: 1. developing history of taxol;2. unique pharmacological mechanism of taxol ; 3. distribution of taxol in plant; 4. design of prodrug of taxol;5 hemisynthesis of taxol; 6. total synthesis of taxol;7. tissue culture of taxol;8. fungus ferenting to produce taxol; 9. relationship between structure and activity. 22 references were cited. |
